1963 thru 1967 C-2 Corvettes
The C-2 Series Corvettes does not have a removable cross member. This makes installing other transmissions a major problem since they physically will not go in and out because of the cross member being in the way. We developed a special modification that we do to the Th-700R4 case. This case modification plus our custom mounting bracket allows our Th-700R4 Transmission to be installed while the engine is in place. This will not work on standard case Th-700R4 Tansmissions, the case must be modified.
The shifters are transmission tail housing mounted on the 1963 and 1964 Corvettes. We have a mounting bracket that mounts directly to the tail housing of our Th-700R4. The stock shifter will need to be modified at our shop then this modified shifter will mount directly to our custom bracket in the exact stock hole location. This linkage kit includes the mounting bracket, linkage rod and park neutral safety switch.
The 1965 thru 1967 Shifter mounts to the floor. We have a conversion kit to convert this shifter that allows all seven shift gate positions to be accessed.
